I had a late lunch today with 2 friends. We had a Caesar salad and my companions were very impressed. Also 1 person had the fish tacos. Impressed. I and one of my friends ordered this Ciopino . It is my favorite Ciopino in San Francisco and I always come here when I have a craving for this dish. Great flavor and a generous selection of ingredients of the highest quality. We had not met for a long time and spent 90 minutes without being rushed. Definitely one of my repeats in the future

My wife and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary in the city and decided on Mission Rock Resort for brunch on our last day there. We were not disappointed at all. Pricing is steep, but you are literally over the water when sitting outside. We were lucky there was no fog - the view is spectacular. We were promptly given a carafe of water and drink order taken. We both had Micheladas; these were spicy but definitely not from a mixer and super tasty. I ordered the Poke bowl and my wife the Rock's Lox. Both plentiful and flavorful. My Ahi was fresh and the bowl itself was very colorful and presented nicely. Our server was prompt in making sure everything came out to order and if we needed anything else. I had a hazy IPA to close out my meal which was cold and again, quickly brought out. Service is great!! For a nice treat while in the city, MRR is a fun and refreshing experience. Close to Oracle Park and Chase Center make it a popular destination. But if you go on a non event day, it has great chill vibes, fresh seafood, and friendly service. Almost everybody working there told us good bye and have a nice day! The downstairs looks fun too for a quick bite and drink! We'll do that next time!

Nothing like a nice sunny day on the Mission Rock patio overlooking the bay. Coupled with solid drinks and food make for a beautiful afternoon or morning. Brunch or lunch, this spot is solid. Service is good and the folks here are friendly. This last visit I had the cioppino for the first time here and it was good. Generous amount of dungeness, clams, mussels, and fish. Comes with some nice cheese toast to dip with. The salmon nicoise is also great and I usually can't go without crabcakes. Good stuff with little filler and lots of crab. Check the view and enjoy some summer cocktails.

Staff here are always nice. You can expect a casual ambiance with plenty of space to sit and chat with friends/family. I last visited in June 2024, on a Saturday afternoon after brunch with 8 other people. We sat at the first floor bar side patio deck and enjoyed cocktails, soft drinks, water and really good appetizers. Somebody in the group ordered the lobster roll and let me have a taste. It was delicious! Mission Rock has been around for a long time! I remember going there at night, when it turned into a club in the early 2000s, among other times through the years. It's nice to know places like this, where you can get great service and space for large groups.
